Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses the ScholarVoya platform, run by ScholarVoya. By creating an account, you accept them and our privacy policy.

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Applications depend on it.
• Keep your password and two-step verification codes to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• One account per person. Agency and institution staff use their own accounts and act for their organisation.
• If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must agree to your use of ScholarVoya.

ScholarVoya helps you discover careers and programmes, keep your profile and documents in one place, apply to institutions and prepare your documents, with AI tools and ScholarVoya officers to guide you.

ScholarVoya does not guarantee admission, degree recognition, scholarships, visa approval, employment, loans, invitations or permanent residence. These decisions are made by institutions, employers, lenders and governments. See Guidance, not guarantees.

• Applying through ScholarVoya is free. An institution may charge its own application fee; when it does, it is shown on the programme.
• When you submit an application, a ScholarVoya officer checks it and may ask you for changes. You authorise ScholarVoya to send it, with the documents you attached, to the institution.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your application and for meeting the institution's deadlines and conditions.
• Programme information comes from the institutions' official sources and is checked by ScholarVoya, but institutions can change it. Confirm important details, such as fees and deadlines, with the institution.

• AI answers and drafts can contain mistakes. Check them before you rely on them or send them anywhere.
• Document Studio writes from the facts you give. Before you export a document, you confirm that it is accurate. Never use it to present false information.
• Some questions are passed to a ScholarVoya officer, so that a person can help.
• AI use counts against your plan's monthly allowance, as shown on the pricing page.

You keep ownership of the documents and text you add. You allow ScholarVoya to store and process them to provide the service, including sending them to the institutions you apply to. Only upload documents you have the right to use.

• False, altered or forged documents or information. We check for signs of tampering and may report fraud to the institutions and authorities concerned.
• Pretending to be someone else, or using someone's data without their permission. Agencies must have each student's consent.
• Attempts to break, overload or copy the platform, or to reach data you are not allowed to see.
• Harassing or abusing other users or ScholarVoya staff.

ScholarVoya has a free plan and paid plans, described on the pricing page. Online payment is not available yet: until it is, paid plans are arranged directly with ScholarVoya. When prices change, the new price applies from your next period, and we tell you in advance.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time from Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example in a case of fraud, and we tell you why unless the law prevents it.

We work to keep ScholarVoya accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. As far as the law allows, ScholarVoya is not responsible for decisions made by institutions, employers, lenders or authorities, or for losses caused by information you did not check. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

We may update these terms as ScholarVoya grows. We tell you before an important change takes effect; if you keep using ScholarVoya afterwards, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.
